ATLANTIC HOTEL (3-STAR) 5 nights half board.
Superbly located overlooking the harbour, the hotel offers a bar with panoramic views; an elegant waterfront restaurant, where an excellent dinner is included each evening; and a sun terrace. The hotel has been welcoming Page & Moy guests for many years and has played a large part in tailor-making the itinerary to our requirements. Your representative during the holiday will be one of the hotel’s team, giving you the advantage of their expert knowledge of the islands. Rooms with a sea view are available at a supplement. Please note that the hotel does not have a lift and operates a no smoking policy.
Your Itinerary
DAY 1 UK/ST MARY’S
Fly from your chosen airport to the island of St Mary’s. We transfer to Hugh Town, the island’s main town, and the Atlantic Hotel, our base for the next five nights.
DAYS 2 – 5 THE ISLES OF SCILLY
Make the most of the next few days to relax and explore. St Mary’s is the largest of the islands and yet it is only three miles wide and has a coastline of just ten miles. There is an abundance of coastal footpaths, scenic nature trails, quiet country lanes and a selection of white sandy beaches for you to enjoy. Hugh Town stands on a low, narrow isthmus connecting two higher parts, and nowhere in the town is more than a few minutes’ walk from the sandy beaches.
The following excursions are included to help you explore the area further:
WALKING TOUR OF ST MARY’S (full day)
We stroll around the fortified garrison walls of the southern peninsula of St Mary’s, enjoying the magnificent views and taking in Star Castle, an Elizabethan fort built in the shape of an eight-pointed star. The vistas from here are incredible as you look out across the sea and the other islands and it’s easy to see how it successfully defended the island for many years.
TRESCO ABBEY GARDENS (full day)
We journey to the nearby island of Tresco for a guided tour of the renowned Abbey Gardens, a unique collection of subtropical plants. Species from all over the world can be seen, including bananas, Mexican yuccas, himalayan ginger, cinnamon, mimosa and Chilean wine palm.
STAR GARRISON (half day)
We enjoy a tour of this historic former military outpost which dates back to the 16th century. It is an important historic site due to the fact that many of its features and structures are still in their almost original form. The rest of the day is at leisure.
ST MARTIN’S (full day)
Our included boat trip takes you to St Martin’s, the third largest of the Scilly Isles and noted for its long sandy beaches and stunning coastline. Discover this beautiful island with a walking tour through fields of flowers, over wild heathland, along rugged cliffs and tranquil beaches.
OR
ST AGNES (full day)
Take a boat trip to St Agnes, one of the smaller inhabited islands with a community of just 72 people. The island is just one mile across but it is incredibly beautiful, from the curving white sand bar to the great weathered granite cairns, complimented by the tranquil sounds of the birds, wind and waves.
Please note that operation of these boat trips is subject to weather conditions and the programme may vary.
DAY 6 ST MARY’S/UK
We transfer to the airport for the short flight back to the mainland.

Regional connecting flights to London from only £69
If you can’t fly direct to your destination from your local airport (see individual holiday details), usually you will have the choice of taking a regional connecting flight to Heathrow or Gatwick from as little as £69 per person return. If your connecting flight and your flight from Gatwick or Heathrow is with British Airways or British Midland, your luggage will automatically be checked through to your final destination, so there’s no need to collect or check your luggage in twice.

Make your own way and save up to £150 per person
You may want more flexibility to make your own travel arrangements to combine your trip with visits to friends and relatives or travel from an airport which we do not offer. If so, why not take advantage of our make your own way option. We offer a reduction of £150 off many of our holidays to allow you to make your own arrangements, if that is what you want. Details of where this option is available are shown on each holiday.
Please remember that these arrangements do not include flights or transfers and you will need to make your own travel arrangements at the beginning and end of your holiday.

Getting you there - Worldwide Holidays
To get your holiday off to a great start, we offer a range of transfer options with our compliments.
You can choose from the following options:
1. Experience door-to-door travel with Page & Moy (2009 departures only)
If you live within a 250-mile drive of your departure airport, we will arrange for a taxi to pick you up from your door and take you to the airport, and drop you home on your return, with our compliments.
2. FREE Connecting flights
If you live further than 250 miles from the airport, or if you prefer, you can opt to transfer to the main departure airport by a connecting flight from an airport closer to home (subject to availability).
3. FREE National Express coach travel
Alternatively, why not choose coach travel on the extensive national express network, with over 1,200 collection points nationwide. What’s more, we’ll pay for your ticket!
4. FREE airport car parking (2009 departures only)
If you would prefer the flexibility of travelling independently to the airport, we are pleased to offer
