Your Itinerary
DAY 1 UK/Zurich
We fly to Zurich and transfer to Giswil, an idyllic alpine resort that is our base for the next four nights on a half board basis.
DAY 2 Lucerne
Join our optional excursion to Lucerne, set on Switzerland’s most beautiful lake. A local guide shows us the highlights of this charming city including the flower-covered Kappelbrucke, a 14thcentury covered bridge spanning the River Reuss.
DAY 3 Interlaken & Grindelwald
Today you can travel high into the mountains on our optional excursion through the Bernese Oberland. We visit Lake Brienz, Interlaken and Grindelwald.
DAY 4 The Glacier Express
There’s an air of anticipation today as we board the Glacier Express. Sit back, relax and take in the view through the panoramic windows as the train crosses bridges over precipitous ravines, cuts through mountain tunnels and twists and turns on its three-hour alpine journey between Andermatt and Thusis.
DAY 5 Seeham
Travelling through Swiss countryside we cross the border into Liechtenstein and make a short stop in the capital, Vaduz. Continuing this afternoon we reach the famous Salzkammergut, our base for the next five nights. We stay in the village of Seeham on the shores of the Obertrumersee.
DAY 6 Obertrumersee
We begin the day with a boat trip on the Obertrumersee. For a different perspective we hop on a carriage for a horse-drawn ride through the local countryside and then take a leisurely walk back to the hotel in the company of a knowledgeable local guide.
DAY 7 Salzburg
You won’t want to miss our optional excursion to the enchanting city of Salzburg. A guided tour shows us the highlights and there will be free time to make your own discoveries. Visit Mozart’s birthplace and shop for local crafts and delicacies on the Getreidegasse, the lovely mediaeval main street.
DAY 8 Mountain Walk
The best way to appreciate the magnificent mountain scenery is on foot, and today we enjoy an unhurried four-hour walk through the rolling hills of the Salzburgerland.
DAY 9 Mattsee & Oberndorf
We offer an insight into traditional ways of life and the history of the area as we visit picturesque Mattsee, where you can join a guided walk through the historic village. The nearby village of Oberndorf is our final port of call. You might hear it referred to as the ‘Silent Night’ village because it was here on Christmas Eve in 1818 that the famous Christmas hymn was first performed.
DAY 10 Munich/UK
We transfer to Munich airport for the return flight.

Regional connecting flights to London from only £69
If you can’t fly direct to your destination from your local airport (see individual holiday details), usually you will have the choice of taking a regional connecting flight to Heathrow or Gatwick from as little as £69 per person return. If your connecting flight and your flight from Gatwick or Heathrow is with British Airways or British Midland, your luggage will automatically be checked through to your final destination, so there’s no need to collect or check your luggage in twice.

Make your own way and save up to £150 per person
You may want more flexibility to make your own travel arrangements to combine your trip with visits to friends and relatives or travel from an airport which we do not offer. If so, why not take advantage of our make your own way option. We offer a reduction of £150 off many of our holidays to allow you to make your own arrangements, if that is what you want. Details of where this option is available are shown on each holiday.

Getting you there - Worldwide Holidays
If you are going on one of our Worldwide* holidays, we offer a range of transfer options with our compliments.

1. Experience door-to-door travel with Page & Moy
If you have booked a Worldwide holiday and live within a 250-mile drive of your departure airport, we will arrange for a taxi to pick you up from your door and take you to the airport, then drop you home on your return, with our compliments.
2. FREE Connecting flights
If you live further than 250 miles from the airport, or if you prefer, you can opt to transfer to the main departure airport by a connecting flight from an airport closer to home (subject to availability).
3. FREE National Express coach travel
Alternatively, why not choose coach travel on the extensive national express network, with over 1,200 collection points nationwide. What’s more, we’ll pay for your ticket!
