Ocean Majesty

All cabins are well-appointed and pleasantly furnished. Each cabin has its own private shower, washbasin and wc, telephone, satellite TV with film channel, three radio channels of entertainment and air-conditioning. Cabin categories J and K have DVD players and DVDs will be available for hire on board.
If you intend to make the most of the ship’s facilities and the shore excursions on offer, you may only need your cabin to be a base in which to settle at night. The most economical option is an inside two-bedded cabin, on Jade deck in category A. However, if you think you will want to spend more time in your cabin, you may want to pay a little more for an outside cabin with a window or porthole, or for a cabin on a higher deck. Categories D and E have a porthole, and all other categories have a larger window. A limited number of double beds are available in category I, and all category K cabins are double bedded. In some cabins in categories A, F, G, H, I, and J an additional upper berth is available, and an additional two upper berths in some cabins in categories A and G. In these, there will be a reduction of up to 60% for extra adults sharing a cabin with two full fare paying passengers – please ask our Holiday Advisors for further information.
Single cabins are available in categories D and E. Some twin cabins are also available for single occupancy in Categories A to I at a supplement of 75% on the prices shown in the price panels.
Whichever category you choose, everyone on board enjoys access to all the ship’s facilities, as well as the attentive service of a cabin steward who will see to your every need throughout the day – a level of service unique to cruising.
Please note A supplement of £25 per person is payable if you wish to choose a particular cabin number.
DAY 1 Tuesday 12 May UK-Barcelona
We fly to Barcelona and transfer to the Ocean Majesty.
DAY 2 Cruising
Perhaps enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning. During the day pamper yourself in the beauty salon; join one of the port lectures to learn about the fascinating places we’ll be visiting; and get to know your fellow passengers over afternoon tea.
DAY 3 Malaga
Originally founded by the Phoenicians, it was ultimately the Moors who gave Malaga its character and nowhere is this more striking than in the combined fortress/palace of the Alcazaba. Shore excursions take us into the undulating landscapes of Andalucia and include Granada’s magnificent Alhambra Palace; the beautiful village of Mijas and the prehistoric caves of Nerja.
DAY 4 Casablanca
We arrive on the coast of North Africa at the town immortalised by Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart. Today you will find an eclectic mix of old and new. Fabulous shore excursions will take you to the medina and souks of Marrakech and discover Djema el Fna, the amazing heart of the city. Alternatively visit Rabat, the fascinating capital of Morocco where the King resides.
DAY 5 Cruising
Relax at sea as we head for the Canary Islands.
DAY 6 Lanzarote
Our first port of call in the Canary Islands is Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote, situated on the eastern coast of the island and famed for its lunar-like landscape. It’s a quiet and beautiful port city with a historic centre full of shops, museums and attractive buildings. Why not take an excursion to the Timanfaya National Park to see the amazing volcanic rock formations?
DAY 7 Gran Canaria
With possibly the most interesting character of all the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria offers a wide variety of landscapes and climates. Quaint ports and bustling cities are bordered by volcanic craters and green valleys. Visit a banana plantation on one of our shore excursions or relax on one of the wonderful golden beaches.
DAY 8 Tenerife
The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife offers year-round sun, fine beaches and stunning coastal scenery. Our port of call is Santa Cruz, where the first shots of the Spanish Civil War were fired. Shore excursions take you to Mount Teide National Park to see the striking volcanic beauty of the island.
DAY 9 Funchal
Known as the ‘Floating Garden’, Madeira is famous for it spectacular landscapes, traditional villages and, of course, its tropical flowers. From the pretty capital Funchal our wide range of shore excursions will show you the immense natural beauty of the island.
DAY 10 Cruising
Enjoy the on-board facilities as we head towards northern Spain.
DAY 11 Vigo
Dramatic seascapes and deep-cut forested estuaries are the hallmarks of Galicia, the north-western region of Spain. Our port of call today is the pretty coastal town of Vigo, Galicia’s largest town and the biggest fishing port in Spain. From here we can visit Santiago de Compostela, an important mediaeval pilgrimage destination that still attracts thousands of pilgrims each year to the Cathedral of St James.
DAY 12 Cruising
Soak up the sunshine on board as we spend a day at sea.
DAY 13 Honfleur
This charming fishing port, a favourite haunt of the great impressionist painters, dates back to the 14th century. Step ashore on a walking tour of the typical Norman streets and alleys of the Old Town and note the striking contrast between the splendid two-storey stone houses, and the tall, slender houses up to seven storeys high. We will visit the Lieutenancy, the former house of the Governor, and Saint Catherine Church, a rare example in Western Europe of a building made entirely of wood.
DAY 14 Monday 25 May Harwich
We disembark after breakfast for the transfer home.
