Ocean Majesty

All cabins are well-appointed and pleasantly furnished. Each cabin has its own private shower, washbasin and wc, telephone, satellite TV with film channel, three radio channels of entertainment and air-conditioning. Cabin categories J and K have DVD players and DVDs will be available for hire on board.
If you intend to make the most of the ship’s facilities and the shore excursions on offer, you may only need your cabin to be a base in which to settle at night. The most economical option is an inside two-bedded cabin, on Jade deck in category A. However, if you think you will want to spend more time in your cabin, you may want to pay a little more for an outside cabin with a window or porthole, or for a cabin on a higher deck. Categories D and E have a porthole, and all other categories have a larger window. A limited number of double beds are available in category I, and all category K cabins are double bedded. In some cabins in categories A, F, G, H, I, and J an additional upper berth is available, and an additional two upper berths in some cabins in categories A and G. In these, there will be a reduction of up to 60% for extra adults sharing a cabin with two full fare paying passengers – please ask our Holiday Advisors for further information.
Single cabins are available in categories D and E. Some twin cabins are also available for single occupancy in Categories A to I at a supplement of 75% on the prices shown in the price panels.
Whichever category you choose, everyone on board enjoys access to all the ship’s facilities, as well as the attentive service of a cabin steward who will see to your every need throughout the day – a level of service unique to cruising.
Please note A supplement of £25 per person is payable if you wish to choose a particular cabin number.
DAY 1 Saturday 18 July Harwich
Join the ship for our 4.30pm departure.
DAY 2 Cruising
Explore the ship and get to know your fellow passengers on our first day at sea.
DAY 3 Floro
Our first port of call is Norway’s westernmost town, Floro, twice voted ‘the most pleasant place to live in Norway’. Visit the Coastal Museum for an insight into the town’s history and the local industries of salmon, herring and mackerel fishing, oil and ship building. A range of shore excursions will introduce us to the beauty of the region including dramatic waterfalls, salmon rivers and Lake Jostravatnet. Enjoy spectacular views all around from Brandsoyasen; sail around the surrounding islands; and visit the Norwegian Deer Centre.
DAY 4 Cruising
Join in the festivities on deck as the staff and crew perform the traditional ‘crossing the Arctic Circle’ ceremony.
DAY 5 Honningsvag
Departing from Honningsvag, there’s an air of excitement as we head along the coast and across the dramatic, desolate terrain to the North Cape. You get the sense of being on top of the world as you stand on the 300-metre-high cliffs gazing out over the Arctic Ocean. We return to the ship in order to sail past the North Cape, basking in the glory of the Midnight Sun.
DAY 6 Cruising
Spend the day relaxing or enjoying the ship’s facilities. Be sure to attend the fascinating port lectures to learn more about the places we will be visiting.
DAY 7 Longyearbyen & the Magdalenafjord
Today is sure to be the highlight of your cruise as we reach Spitzbergen. Here, we gain an insight into how communities survive in incredibly remote conditions with 24 hours of darkness in the winter and 24 hours of daylight in the summer. The Norwegian town of Longyearbyen nestles between the mountains and the edge of the Isfjord. Tonight we cruise the stunning Magdalenafjord – this sheltered inner harbour is considered to be one of Spitzbergen’s most scenic and the summer’s continuous daylight will allow us to enjoy this awe-inspiring sight at its best.
DAY 8 Cruising
A leisurely day at sea.
DAY 9 Tromso
Once the headquarters of seal and walrus hunters, today Tromso is a delightful mix of traditional wooden houses and modern architecture, and is home to the world's northernmost university. There are plenty of attractions to keep you busy whilst in Tromso, take one of our shore excursions on a tour of the city, visit a husky camp or take a trip to the Polaria Museum and Arctic Cathedral – two buildings that superbly mirror their Arctic surroundings.
DAY 10 Lofoten Islands
Renowned for their stunning scenery, the Lofoten Islands are a mustsee for anyone cruising the Norwegian fjords. The islands possess a rugged beauty, with craggy peaks and soaring cliffs providing an ideal nesting ground for an abundance of bird life. We will stop at the port of Leknes on Vestvagoy, the largest of the islands, from where shore excursions include a relaxing panoramic tour of the islands, a visit to a Viking centre, or a trip to the Vestvagoy Fishing Museum, where you can discover how the island’s inhabitants in days gone by made their living from the fruits of the sea.
DAY 11 Cruising
A day to enjoy the fresh sea air as we sail back towards the scenic fjords.
DAY 12 Andalsnes & Molde
We reach Andalsnes, located at the head of the spectacular Romsdalfjord on the banks of the River Rauma. You can follow the river on board the spectacular Rauma Railway on one of our optional excursions. We sail on to Molde, delightfully situated on the northern bank of the Moldefjord, which provided inspiration for Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytales and is known locally as the ‘Town of Roses’.
DAY 13 Bergen
Situated between a group of mountains known collectively as de syv fjell – the seven mountains – Bergen is Norway’s second city. Visit the old Hanseatic quarter of Bryggen, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or the colourful fish and flower market. Optional shore excursions from Bergen include a drive into the scenic countryside around Bergen, a funicular ride into the hills for spectacular panoramic views across the city and a visit to Troldhaugen, the home of famous Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg.
