Extend Your Stay
Extend your holiday in Amsterdam after the cruise with a stay at the centrally located 4-star Park Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis for just £199 per person for two nights (£60 per night supplement for single rooms) and £280 for three nights (£60 per night supplement for single rooms). Price based on two people sharing.
This is only available to passengers travelling by air and does not include the transfer to the airport, which can be easily arranged by taxi or train. Please ask one of our holiday booking advisors for details.

MV Serenade I

Spacious cabinsThe cabins are amongst the largest of any river cruiser, at 16m². We want you to feel at home so we’ve included plenty of storage space and individually controlled air-conditioning to keep the temperature just how you like it. The twin beds are hotel standard and there is a pretty seating area for relaxation. All cabins have flat-screen satellite TV, phone, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, safe and a hairdrier. The en suite bathrooms have a separate shower, bath and WC. Cabins are non-smoking but you can smoke on deck. There is a gym and sauna on board for you to enjoy at your leisure.
On the upper two decks all cabins have floor-to-ceiling sliding French windows for a great view or cooling breeze. On the lower deck there’s a smaller fixed window.
Especially reservedSome cabins are especially reserved for sole occupancy, while others have been adapted for wheelchair access. To make life easy, all but the bottom deck are accessible by lift or stair-lift and just a few steps lead you to the large partially covered sun deck.
Your Itinerary
DAY 1 UK - Amsterdam
By air: Fly from a choice of airports to Amsterdam.
By rail: Eurostar from London St Pancras to Brussels. Transfer by coach to Amsterdam to board serenade I.
DAY 2 Amsterdam
The morning is free to take in the city – perhaps Anne Frank’s House; the treasures of the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum. Alternatively, there’s an optional trip along the canals that form the lifeblood of the city. The Serenade I departs at lunchtime, cruising gently towards Cologne.
DAY 3 Cologne & Bonn
Spend the afternoon in the delightful and strategically positioned city of Cologne. Its prosperity is evident in the fine buildings and magnificent cathedral, whose soaring spires were once the tallest structures in the world. An optional city walking tour is available. As the sun sets, we head upstream to Bonn where we moor overnight. Perhaps enjoy a stroll around this delightful town this evening?
DAY 4 Rhine Gorge & Rudesheim
Get to know the history-steeped Rhine Gorge. Abundant vineyards, pretty villages and imposing castles make this one of Europe’s most stunning riverscapes. Later, arrive at the pretty wine town of Rudesheim where you can sample some of the delicious Rhine wines in a local tavern. There is an optional trip to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum.
DAY 5 Cochem
We cruise back en route to Koblenz, passing through this gentle wine-growing region, to the beautiful town of Cochem. Enjoy an optional wine tasting at a local cellar or visit the mighty Reichsburg Castle that towers above this picturesque town, before arriving in the little wine village of Alken later this evening. We dock here for the night.
DAY 6 Koblenz & Dusseldorf
Depart Alken before breakfast cruising to Koblenz, where we spend the morning amidst the towns’ ancient Roman walls and beautifully restored Old Quarter. At lunchtime we cruise back to the Rhine and the vibrant city of Dusseldorf for the night.
DAY 7 Arnhem
Back into Holland and the delightful town of Arnhem by the early afternoon, and a chance to visit the town’s museum. Discover the history of the John Frost Bridge, named after the British commander who defended it for four days in World War II. Join an optional trip to the battlefields near Arnhem or tour the fabulous house and gardens of Het Loo. Tonight there is a farewell gala dinner on board with music and dancing.
DAY 8 Amsterdam - UK
Arrive in Amsterdam in the early hours.
By air: Disembark and transfer to amsterdam airport for the flight home.
By rail: Coach transfer to Brussels and onto the Eurostar bound for London St Pancras.

Regional connecting flights to London from only £69
If you can’t fly direct to your destination from your local airport (see individual holiday details), usually you will have the choice of taking a regional connecting flight to Heathrow or Gatwick from as little as £69 per person return. If your connecting flight and your flight from Gatwick or Heathrow is with British Airways or British Midland, your luggage will automatically be checked through to your final destination, so there’s no need to collect or check your luggage in twice.

Make your own way and save up to £150 per person

Getting you there - Worldwide Holidays
To get your holiday off to a great start, we offer a range of transfer options with our compliments.

1. Experience door-to-door travel with Page & Moy
If you have booked a Worldwide holiday and live within a 250-mile drive of your departure airport, we will arrange for a taxi to pick you up from your door and take you to the airport, then drop you home on your return, with our compliments. Worldwide holidays include Asia, Australasia, Africa and North and South America, but exclude the Middle East and motor racing holidays.
2. FREE Connecting flights
If you live further than 250 miles from the airport, or if you prefer, you can opt to transfer to the main departure airport by a connecting flight from an airport closer to home (subject to availability).
3. FREE National Express coach travel
Alternatively, why not choose coach travel on the extensive national express network, with over 1,200 collection points nationwide. What’s more, we’ll pay for your ticket!
4. FREE airport car parking
