So much to see and do onboard and ashore
Athena’s on-board facilities are excellent, including a swimming pool, a choice of bars and lounges, a library, internet access, a luxury cinema and a shop. The restaurant offers you sumptuous cuisine throughout your cruise, and informal more relaxed dining is offered in the Lotus Grill. If you feel in need of pampering, why not treat yourself to a massage or sauna in the beauty salon?

A great selection of optional shore excursions are available on every cruise, enabling you to enjoy your holiday to the fullest. By taking advantage of the shore excursions, you can leave all the details of planning your route, arranging transport and finding your way around to the experts, which means you’re free to simply enjoy your visit.
Excursions can take you ‘off the beaten track’, away from the more obvious tourist attractions to places that many people never get a chance to see. Wherever your excursion takes you, you’ll always be accompanied by an experienced and knowledgeable guide and often a member of the on-board team.

Guest speakers, live acts and more
Page & Moy like to invite guest speakers, port lecturers and entertainers aboard to add a little extra to your holiday. What’s more, on days at sea, or when not sightseeing, there are a variety of things to do. Our on board entertainment team can bring you a whole range of activities, from arts and crafts to traditional deck games. There are also films shown regularly in the luxurious and comfortable cinema. Join in with one of the exercise classes or relax with live music.
Interesting & informative
Our on-board port lecturers will give a real insight into the ports you will visit whilst on your cruise. They will be joined by fascinating guest speakers including Tracy Martin (collectables expert), David Saunders (sea bird expert and naturalist), and Roger Cartwright (military and maritime history expert). Fantastic entertainment
At night, Athena takes on a different persona. Relax over a long drink in one of the bars or lounges, be entertained in the Calypso Show Lounge or try your luck in the casino. The choice is yours. The shows on board are excellent, performed by a dedicated troupe of entertainers whose repertoire ranges from gala shows featuring excerpts from West End musicals to comedy nights.
Sumptuous cuisine
From a light lunch to a special dinner
Dining is one of the great pleasures of shipboard life, an integral part of any cruise and Athena proudly upholds this tradition with fine menus. From breakfast, lunch through to five-course evening meals combining international menus and the best ingredients, and if you’re still hungry, there are traditional late evening snacks and afternoon tea to enjoy.
Elegant evenings
The impressive Olissipo Restaurant offers you sumptuous cuisine throughout your cruise. By day a relaxed and informal venue, by evening the restaurant is transformed into a sophisticated setting. Or if you prefer, more informal dining is available in the Lotus Grill.
Mouth-watering cuisine
The evening meals are the pièce de résistance on board Athena with menus designed to give a wide choice of mouth-watering dishes including a full vegetarian selection. To accompany your meal, there is a carefully selected wine list at reasonable prices. Special diets can also be catered for. In common with most cruise ships, breakfast and lunch are normally open sittings and dinner is served at two sittings.
Alfresco dining
When weather allows, you can enjoy a breakfast or lunch buffet at the poolside, so you don’t have to miss a minute of those stunning views. There is also the option to eat in your cabin. Of course, both meals are also served in the restaurant, offering you a full menu and waiter service.
