We board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer train today for the start of our spectacular two-day journey to Jasper. We travel through the meadows of the Fraser River Valley, cross over the Coastal Mountains and continue along Fraser Canyon, from where we can peer down into the raging maelstrom of Hell’s Gate. Our journey continues eastwards along the Thompson River to Kamloops, where we disembark the train for an overnight stay.
DAY 5 ROCKY MOUNTAINEER TRAIN (FIRST PASSAGE TO THE WEST) – KAMLOOPS TO JASPER
We re-board the Rocky Mountaineer this morning for the second part of our spectacular journey, travelling along the North Thompson River and crossing it several times. As we pull into Jasper, keep an eye out for majestic Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies.
